The Salamander of the Senate

Maria Cantwell

I really have no basis for this one other than I like salamanders and I like Maria Cantwell and they're both found in Washington state. Also, if Cantwell had a tail I bet you could cut it off and it could grow back.

McConnell would be the Newt, the pissy opposite of the salamander.

The Sloth of the Senate

John McCain
Slow moving, probably older for his own good, and a loner when it comes to his opinion, John McCain is easily the most sloth like senator we have. I see him hanging out in the trees hanging upside down and being very charming, but also flexible enough to go against the grain of his sloth compadres.

The Badger of the Senate

Chris Dodd

I see Chris Dodd as a man who can be fierce at times, but also a man who likes to burrow for berries. Chris Dodd is the ideal Senate candidate for leader of Salamandastron or some other Redwall Badger mountain. Chris Dodd, you also somewhat look like a badger.

The Lion of the Senate

Ted Kennedy
A ferocious presence in the Senate but a man who wasn't afraid to be nurturing and care for the people... Ted Kennedy was the Lion of the Senate.
